Since it was Sunday we had looked into the two church options in the town, a Uniting Church or a Lutheran Church. After checking their beliefs we thought the Lutheran Church was the better option. By going to church it helps us all to remember that it's a Sunday and to respect it.
The Church website gave varying times for services so we aimed for the 10am service. We arrived at about 9.45 and it had already started so we decided to still head in and listen to the message. Well, the message was brief and not very deep and it certainly opened the kids eyes to the size of the church / number of people attending. They kids also quizzed us why we didn't participate in the Lords Supper which gave us a good opportunity to explain it to them when we got back to camp.
We stayed for the coffee and cake catch up where the kids had more than their fair share of home-made muffins and biscuits - something we've really been missing while we're on the road!
We spent some time at the local park which was enjoyable for the kids and helped burn off some energy!
When we got back to camp Rowan could finally have his birthday cake which worked quite well! I didn't have any icing so I just spread some butter over it so the chocolate sprinkles stayed on.
Axel clearly enjoyed the cake too!
It had turned into another stinking hot day so we spent the afternoon at the pool. It was nice to be able to keep cool!
It IS necessary to keep the plants well watered!
Getting to be quite clever now!
