Woomera to Coober Pedy

We piled the kids into the car early again and drove to Woomera where we found a beautiful green park to have breakfast. It was surrounded with aviaries with lots of different birds plus there was toys for the kids.

Woomera became famous and busy when they started weapon testing and rocket launching from Australia. They also monitored satellites that they put into space from Woomera. It is now a ghost town - although there are still people who live there - a population of 136!

After breakfast we made our way to the part of town that displays the planes and missiles and wandered through.

From there we got back on the road again and continued traveling on to Coober Pedy. We stopped at the caravan Park with a pool as we were all struggling to adjust to the 41 degree temps. We also wanted the power to run our aircon at night!
