We started walking at about 10am and Rowan and Axel (in the pram) did well for the first 1200metres. After that Rowans little legs just didn't co-operate so well so Mars carried him in the carrier.
There was lots to take in, caves to duck in and out of, drawings to admire, ponds to see, and it was all so green from all the rain they've had. Approx 2 weeks prior to us being there someone had captured waterfalls coming off the rock from all the rain that's fallen there!
I'll let the pictures do the 'talking'...
The rock pools are FULL of tadpoles
Rowan looks pretty happy with himself!
Even long legs need a rest sometimes!
The last hour of our walk the sun came out which made for less-pleasant-more-whinging kind of walkers and we all managed to get a bit sunburnt but everyone managed to persevere, thankfully there was a few shady rest stops too!
So keen to climb...
YAY! We made it! We can see the car!
We finished the walk in about 4 hours, approx 10km walk. There was plenty of grumbling in the last hour and 'I want to go back' moments but they (and we) were all proud that they'd completed the walk.
The afternoon was spent in the pool!
