Frasers Range to Mundrabilla

We left Frasers Range around 9am - still haven't mastered the early starts! It took about 45 minutes and we were at Balladonia. We stopped to check out the Cultural Heritage Museum which holds a piece of the Skylab that fell in 1979.  It also has exhibits in Aboriginal art and information on the construction of the Eyre Highway. It was a good experience for Chad, Karli and Brenton to start their note writing to add to their journals.

From Balladonia to Caiguna is the 90 mile straight.

We drove onto Caiguna where we stopped at the Service Station and ate lunch (before the flies ate it!) We piled back into the car and drove through to a camping site near Mundrabilla. The kids were VERY happy to be out of the car and after setting up proceeded to play all together in the VERY dusty dirt.

The camp site was very nice though. After a late dinner and a very quick wash the kids jumped into bed and the adults followed shortly after!
