Uluru

We couldn't pack up quick enough! I've never been so happy to pack up and head to the 'luxury' of a caravan park!

We were too early for check in so we left the van in the caravan carpark and drove to get closer to Uluru. We purchased a 3 day pass and spent some time driving around it and taking in the amazing height and steepness of it that you just can't capture on a photo.  It has a real WOW factor when you first get close to it.

We spent some time looking through the Cultural Centre there and read about the history surrounding Uluru. We could also watch some aboriginal artists that come in to paint there - and sell their paintings there too. The Sales assistant told us an aboriginal story about the 7 Sisters and explained some of the paintings to us.

Rowan was NOT impressed about being in the 'cave'

After a quick walk up to the rock - just so Brenton and Chad could TOUCH the ROCK we went back to the Caravan Park to set up camp.  Mars and the kids headed to the pool for a swim while I got some washing on.

We LOVED the luxury of the caravan park and slept well with the aircon!
